Nikon D4 Price in Malaysia

Finally after all the rumours, ranting, panting and news leak the top notch dslr , D4 has been officially announced. Nikon has been quite silent on 2011 except for some smaller format camera. This is possibly the biggest announcement from Nikon since the D7000 and the floods in Bangkok that has wrecked production line in Thailand.

Here’s the brief video introduction on the Nikon D4.

The new Nikon D4 is powered by the newly designed 16.2MP FX sensor and the new  EXPEED 3 processor which is claimed to have much improved image and video quality in terms of clarity, noise control and colors. I believe this is quite true as newer Nikon replacement model tends to have much better IQ than it’s predecessor.  While it’s capable of going 11 FPS on FX and with ISo 100 to 12800 , expandable to a whopping 204800!!  which is probably good for noisy black and white photos.

Power of 11 FPS at FX

The new RGB sensor also has a so called advance scene system the is claimed to set a new standard in auto focus accuracy that is able to identify light source, track subject, analyze highlights and recognizes human faces while shooting on viewfinder . A new Multi-CAM 3500FX AF sensor module that has 51 auto focus points is able to focus accurately even in low lights condition.

Video

After taking heavy beatings from Canon, the new Nikon D4 is claimed to have much improved video capability.  The Nikon D4 is capable of doing multi-area mode in full HD in 3 different formats. Finally Nikon D4 is able to record video in 30fps , 24 fps in FullDH 1080p and  720p at up to 60p.

Other improvements

Expected price

D4 is expected to be on the market around Febuary 2012 an a retail price of $ 6000 that’s close to RM 19,000. Crazy as hell,  I guess people may start selling their kidneys again to be able to buy this camera.
