Difference between Nikon D800 and D800E ?

Although there has not been much information released , apart from the price difference, here are differences between D800 and D800E that I’ve found

This is one insanely high megapixel which are only available in medium/large format cameras that cost tens of thousands.Think about having massing cropping and resizing to correct your mistakes on your photos. This would also a great excuse to upgrade to faster SD or CF cards, upgrade your memory and hard disk as it will probably take some massive CPU horsepower to edit that size of photos. However I sincerely feel that 36.3MP is a little over killing even for a full time photographer like me. Such high resolution are only used when dealing with higher end projects and clients.

Image quality and speed

The camera also uses other latest technology which are available on the D4 such as the new Expeed 3,  latest 91,000-pixel 3D Color Matrix Metering III  and Advance scene recognition system.  which are meant for better quality images movie processing. It supports ISO 100-6400 expandable  50 (Lo-1)-25,600 (Hi-2) low light photography. To further improve noise controls. A new enhanced optical high pass filter was developed for the purpose.

It’s D4 borrowed 51 focus points is said to have superbly fast auto focus ensuring tack sharp photos while it is able to shoot from 4FPS to 6FPS.

As of every other Nikon’s professional level camera, this camera is built with magnesium allow that is light and durable and sealed , gassed for maximum weather protection.
