Reality of Samsung’s Android Phone ?

 

Samsung’s Galaxy Android smartphone has been a hype and pretty good alternative compared to Apple’s iphone. Now, Samsung has been endlessly churning out new models of smart phones every few months or so. These models seems to be more featuristic, but in reality what are the quality of these phones like ? I got myself a Samsung Galaxy W , and it malfunctioned only 2 days after usage ! If I bought a Nokia phone from a traditional phone store, I would have been give a 1 to 1 new replacement. However since I’m using a Samsung. I will have to wait days (I hope not weeks ) for my phone to be fixed.

The phone started displaying “emergency call only” with slight than 1 day of usage, it got worse and completely cuts off from the network on the 2nd day. Other SIM cards are confirmed not working on the phone while my SIM is working on other phones. I finally sent the phone to repair on 12th as it was holliday and I was rather tied up and it’s been 6 days (at least 4 working days)  without any news from Samsung yet.  But hey! It’s a Samsung Galaxy ! I will have to twist my fingers and pray the next time I’m buying any Samsung’s mobile product.

Samsung Galaxy W

 

The Galaxy W was announced end of 2011 and was finally released on early 2012. This light, affordable Galaxy comes with 1.4 GHz CPU which is pretty fast.  All the basic necessities such as 5 MP camera with LED Flash, WiFi, Front camera are available on this phone.

The 3.7″ screen is pretty attractive for a device this kind of price. With 1.4 GHz CPU, it can pretty much support some decent amount of applications running.  It comes with a  1500 mAh battery that supports up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 11 days of standby time.

 

From the specifications and price, this phone sits nicely in the medium range of Samsung Galaxy’s line. Right in between Galaxy ACE (Soon Ace+) and Galaxy SL. If you think that Galaxy Ace is too underpowered and SL is just too huge to handle, Galaxy W would be just nice for you.
