Camera Raw Converter alternative Adobe Dng Converter Software


Do you shoot in raw ? I’m not one of those who uses the CD provided by camera manufacturer to view my raw files and prefers to do it on Photoshop itself. If you are using Adobe photoshop to read your RAW files directly instead of those software provided by the Camera, you will understand that you will need to download the latest Adobe Camera Raw to be able to read the raw files.

One of the issue of the Camera Raw is that it only provides camera raw support for the current camera available in the market and not the latest model of camera. You will need to upgrade to the latest version of camera raw, hoever it can only be supporter by the latest version of Adobe Photoshop.

Which means, you need to reinstall or upgrade your whole Adobe Creative Suite or Adobe Photoshop software to be able to install Camera raw for support of latest camera that you’ve just purchase ! This poses a problem a problem for any new version of Camera. Upgrading your whole suit waste a lot of time and not to mention the cost involved. Besides Adobe comes with a new version of their software every once a year to squeeze your pocket dry.

Thank god there are alternative of this, Adobe also has this free  software “Adobe Digital Negative (DNG) conveter” which converts RAW to DNG format readable by Photoshop. Most of the time I’m able to find support for the latest version of camera while waiting for the Camera Raw support and upgrade of Adobe Photoshop.

 

This software is able to convert RAW by batch fo folder to DNG format which is readable by Adobe Photoshop. It’s just a little more inconvient not being able to do it on the Photoshop itself.
